Sandra Hao adds over eleven years of tax and business advisory experience serving domestic and multinational clients, most recently as a Director for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Sandra served Bay Area clients varying in size from start-ups to large public global companies in semiconductor, life sciences, software and other high technology industries.
Sandra’s technical focus has been ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes (previously FAS 109, FIN 48, FAS 123R, etc.). She has substantial experience directing audits of income taxes of U.S. companies filing IPO’s in foreign markets under both IFRS and U.S. GAAP, as well as audits of global tax restructuring projects. Beyond ASC 740, Sandra has managed implementation of and reviewed SOX 404 internal controls of tax functions of numerous SEC clients. She also has managed preparation of complex multi-entity and multi-state tax returns including foreign subsidiaries and disregarded entities.
Sandra is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in California. She holds two Masters degrees, one in Accounting from San Jose State University and one in Economics from Indiana University (Ph.D. Candidate). She also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Renmin University, Beijing, China. Sandra is fluent in Mandarin.
